Observations On What Happy Bees Are Foraging

Nurse bees and the Queen on a frame of brood.  The queen always has "attendants".  They appear as admirers, often encircling the queen and tending to her every need.  Can you spot the queen?

Did you know?  Male bees, called "drones", like this one, don't have stingers.  They are considerably bigger than the female worker bees, and thus are easy to single out in a typical hive of 30,000 to 40,000 bees.
